Very Thai (?) (2026)

Very Thai explores ideas of improvisation, adaptation, and belonging through a collection of chairs made from found objects and materials gathered across London, including my home, construction sites, Thai restaurants, and Thai supermarkets. Drawing inspiration from Bangkok’s urban vernacular furniture, each piece investigates informal methods of assembly and structures that can be easily assembled and disassembled. Together, the works explore how everyday materials can evoke a sense of Thainess while responding to a new cultural and urban context.
